Tea Towel Designs
I’ve always imagined my drawings printed on products and being used by people. So when a client reached out to me with this lovely idea of creating custom kitchen tea towels from scratch, it immediately felt like a YES to me. Drawing food-related elements and turning them into a real product sounded like a perfect project.
After confirming the towel dimensions with the client, I started with some quick Pinterest scrolling. I usually don’t spend too much time there because I don’t want my mind to copy anything specific. I just look at general colors, shapes, and styles to put myself in the mood.
The project included two designs: one inspired by the fruits of Palestine, and the other inspired by Lebanese culture and food.
Then I took my time brainstorming. I tried to come up with visually different ideas and compositions. Once the client and I chose a direction, I started refining the initial idea and exploring different details and options.

The coloring process went smoothly, and choosing the background color first made it easier for me to build the rest of the color palette.
And voilà! The designs were finished and ready to go.
I handed the final design files to the client, who worked directly with the fabric factory. The towels were printed very quickly, packaged, and turned into real products.

I believe that adding artistic pieces to the kitchen can make the space feel warmer and more personal.
